Giana Caldieri
With a background in dance, Giana immediately fell in love with the physical aspects of a strong asana practice. After completing her first vinyasa flow class at a converted Spanish Mission at her local studio in Santa Barbara CA, she knew that yoga would be a life-long pursuit. The spiritual mind/body connection and the intersection of pranayama (breath) to asana (postures) has always greatly intrigued her. The centuries old history supporting the benefits of yoga as it relates to sustaining health and promoting general well-being truly speaks to her “antiquities soul.”
*Fun Fact: Giana is a huge history buff and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Art History from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, in 2010.
She initially began her studies of yoga at Yasa Yoga in Santa Barbara where she was a student of Ryan and Stephanie Besler. She completed several yoga intensives under their leadership that centered on proper alignment, human anatomy, and the Sanskrit language.
A decade later, after moving to Florida, she completed her RYT 200-hr teacher training with Gus Komninos at Yoga House in 2021.
Whether you arrive at your mat for a sweaty physical practice or to learn how to better connect to your breath, it is always her intention to guide you through this moving meditation and leave you feeling renewed and rejuvenated.
